Skills training
Save a Seed for the Future offers training classes to residents in Tubur sub-county in essential skills such as sewing, tailoring, welding, and carpentry. Students are able to learn and refine their skills as they practice creating finished products. By investing in local communities, we help households diversify their income and improve their economic livelihoods. We have graduated more than 200 students through our skills training classes and are excited to continue offering these opportunities in the future.
We are grateful to our partner, SwissABILITY, for supporting us in this work.
Meet one of our classes!
Watch Save a Seed’s Executive Director, Herbert James Elaju, introduce students from a shoe-making class offered by the organization in 2020. See students show off some of the shoes they’ve learned to make through skills training, allowing them to create finished products for market.
